Every Friday at 12:55 pm

The Let’s Sing Chorus meets weekly to sing songs from Broadway and also some oldies. Songs from the 1950s and 1960s are particularly popular. Everyone (except the performers) clicks the mute button so that we can sing along at home and still accommodate the sound delay on Zoom. We sing songs from the Broadway musicals Cats, Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, The Fantasticks, The Lion King and many others.

If interested, email Robin at to receive an email invitation with a link to join the Zoom meeting.

Fourth Wednesday of the month
at 10:30 am.

Want to expand your green horizons?
There is an opportunity right in your backyard. Join the Garden Group based out of the Walnut Creek Senior Center!
We are a “Growing” group for any seniors wanting to develop their green personality.  We encourage participation from all levels of gardening expertise.  Currently we are meeting monthly on zoom, but hopefully that will change before long.  The meetings last about 90 minutes on the fourth Monday of the month at 10:30 AM.  The first 60 minutes features a speaker discussing a gardening topic.  There are multiple benefits to this informational event.
Education– Hear advice and recommendations from local and regional experts on multiple gardening topics.  We have had experts discuss attracting butterflies to your garden, beneficial and bad bugs, growing plants from seeds, everything you ever wanted to know about fruit trees, Firescaping, and winter and summer vegetables.  Join us in the coming months to hear more sage information!
Connections– Currently the meetings are virtual but hopefully we will be connecting in person at the Senior Center soon. You’ll be able to socialize with other gardeners and share personal stories of gardening success. Also, there are many volunteer opportunities in the mini-gardens around Civic Park. You may showcase your gardening expertise in the plants selected for these areas.
Resources– Learn about all types of assistance for making your garden grow, such as a website to help select plants, and other helpful, practical tips to become more proficient at managing your garden.
Currently the Garden Group is free.  Once we meet in person and use the facilities of the Walnut Creek Center there will be a minimal charge for each meeting.  If you are interested please contact Jane at

Qi Gong
Every Monday at 12:00 pm – 12:15 pm

Qi Gong uses traditional Chinese exercises that engage the mind and body and encompasses posture and movement in a meditative experience. This 15-minute class provides a chance to take a break and relax with slow movements. The leader, Bob Wolf, studied Qi Gong for 4 years at the San Francisco Chinatown YMCA and teaches Qi Gong to employees of a major corporation.

This class requires balance and physical activity. This means our insurance carrier requires that you be a member of the WC Seniors Club and that you agree to a waiver of liability in order to participate. The waiver will be sent with your Zoom invite and clicking on the Zoom link to join the meeting means you have agreed to the terms of the waiver. For more information and a Zoom link email (note that seniors is plural).
