The Senior Center, (Civic Park Community Center) is open from 10:00 am -2:00 pm, Monday – Thursday.
December Senior Center Schedule
The Last Day in December that the Senior Center is Open for Drop-In Groups is Friday, December 17, except for the Silver Screen Movie, Blue Miracle on December 21 at 1 pm.
The Senior Center Re-opens on Tuesday, January 4.

The Walnut Creek Seniors Club is a 501(c) organization dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors in Walnut Creek. The club was founded in 1952. Our headquarters are in Civic Park Community Center. We have receptionists on duty weekdays from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Monday – Thursday to help with any questions. – call 925-943-5851.
The club is open to people 50 years old or better, living in the Walnut Creek area. Membership benefits include local and international trips, a senior softball league, seminars on such subjects as fraud prevention and housing, great prices on special events, free social services and a variety of drop-in activities. The Walnut Creek Seniors Club regularly schedules trips, games, and parties. Members receive a monthly newsletter by email that lists all the Club activities and services.
Some examples of what we do:
- Promote fitness through softball, tennis, walking, biking, and bowling groups.
- Sponsor seminars on topics of interest to seniors, such as fraud prevention.
- Sponsor book discussion groups.
- Provide opportunities to socialize over cards or music and at dinners and dances.
- Provide the opportunity to travel on day trips or extended trips.
In short, we encourage the art of living.
