The Bedford Gallery Launches Their First Exhibit Online

The Bedford Gallery has finally launched their first exhibit online!

While the Bedford Gallery remains closed, following guidelines outlined by Contra Costa Health Services, we are thrilled to present our current exhibition Bird, Nest, Nature as a virtual exhibition for viewers to enjoy.  Head to bgviewingroom.org to view!

Bird, Nest, Nature is a juried and invitational exhibition featuring a roster of local and national artists. Birds have long captured the attention of humankind, the earliest evidence of which can be found in cave drawings that reflect all that we cherish in nature from flora to fauna. This exhibition was juried by Jeffrey De Blois, Assistant Curator, ICA Boston and Rebecca Lowery, Assistant Curator, MOCA Los Angeles, and includes over 150 local, national and international artists inspired by the exquisite beauty of creatures of flight.

Participating Artists

Invitational:
Diane Andrews Hall, Aimee Baldwin, Tiffany Bozic, Donald Farnsworth, Ann Hollingsworth, Isabella Kirkland, Angela Moulton, Jennifer Orkin Lewis, Jane Rosen, Kiki Smith, Michele Théberge, David Tomb. Continue reading “The Bedford Gallery Launches Their First Exhibit Online”

Coffee Break Qi Gong for a Balanced Life

Sponsored by the WC Seniors Club: Free on Zoom
Mondays at 11 am, Starting October 19

Qi Gong uses traditional Chinese exercises that engage the mind and body and encompasses posture and movement in a meditative experience. This 15 minute class provides a chance to take a break and relax with slow movements. The leader, Bob Wolf, studied Qi Gong for 4 years at the San Francisco Chinatown YMCA and teaches Qi Gong to employees of a major corporation.
This class requires balance and physical activity. This means our insurance carrier requires that you be a member of the WC Seniors Club and that you agree to a waiver of liability to participate. The waiver will be sent with your Zoom invite and clicking on the Zoom link to join the meeting means you have agreed to the terms of the waiver.
For more information and a Zoom link email wcseniorsnews@gmail.com (note that seniors is plural).
