This Swap in November will have tables set up outside the Senior Center with books, board games and puzzles. Participants will be required to wear a mask and will be given a pair of gloves to wear while looking through the books.  Only a few people will be allowed to look at the same time, keeping in mind physical distancing guidelines. This is a great way to keep your mind active and get some new material to read. You do not need to bring a book to get a book. There is no charge for a book, game or puzzle. Donated items are disinfected.

Call for Donations – please email Wendy at wgonzales@walnut-creek.org if you have items to donate to the swap. Please only include books, board games and puzzles with all the pieces and in usable/good condition.

The Bedford Gallery Launches Their First Exhibit Online

While the Bedford Gallery remains closed, following guidelines outlined by Contra Costa Health Services, we are thrilled to present our current exhibition Bird, Nest, Nature as a virtual exhibition for viewers to enjoy.  Head to bgviewingroom.org to view!

Bird, Nest, Nature is a juried and invitational exhibition featuring a roster of local and national artists. Birds have long captured the attention of humankind, the earliest evidence of which can be found in cave drawings that reflect all that we cherish in nature from flora to fauna. This exhibition was juried by Jeffrey De Blois, Assistant Curator, ICA Boston and Rebecca Lowery, Assistant Curator, MOCA Los Angeles, and includes over 150 local, national and international artists inspired by the exquisite beauty of creatures of flight.

Participating Artists
