Lynda.com is back at the library

Lynda.com  provides online tutorials.  The library used to offer Lynda courses for free, but dropped it when it changed its privacy policy.  It wanted to collect data that violated the library ‘s privacy policy.  Now it’s back offering free courses.

Lynda.com is now owned by Linkedin, so I’m sure its emphasis is business courses.  Lynda offers courses in photography, WordPress, web design and development, business and professional development, and much more.

Courses are free if you go through the library web site.  To get started, go to the Contra Costa Library site, and click on the Lynda.com link.  You will need a library card to log in.

Activities

Let’s Sing

Every Friday at 1 pm.

The group sings solos and duets as song leaders. Participants choose their songs each week from a long list of available songs. When a participant sings, the rest of us Mute so that we can sing along at home without being heard by others. That avoids problems of a sound delay. A lyrics booklet is available for printing at home.

If interested, email Robin at rzzwolf@gmail.com to receive an email invitation with a link to join the Zoom meeting.
