NEW! Walnut Creek Neighbor Express matches volunteers with those in need of grocery delivery The City of Walnut Creek has partnered with U.S. Digital Response (USDR), a volunteer-run, non-partisan effort to help connect one neighbor to another to deliver groceries and provide a helping hand to the vulnerable community members during COVID-19.
Through the new Walnut Creek Neighbor Express website, vulnerable community members can request frozen meals, order your usual groceries, or ask for other help you may need. A volunteer will bring your delivery right to your door!
How does it work?
Seniors can visit this site to request a grocery/meal drop off or helping hand. Please note, it can take up to a couple of days to get paired with a volunteer and schedule a delivery. However, the phone lines are staffed 7 days a week 8:00 am – 8:00 pm and you will be connected with a real live person who can help you get started or answer questions.
If you don’t have access to internet, call 925-322-0264 and a City of Walnut Creek staff member can fill out the form for you.
